Every person has the potential to create positive change in their life. Sometimes it can be overwhelming or unclear. Knowing where to start is often most difficult. Good news, you don't have to do this alone. When you start therapy with Krysta you're no longer navigating change or uncertainty on your own. I will work alongside you to clarify goals, identify strengths, and create a plan for true change in your life. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families with various mental health and substance use diagnoses experiencing a variety of life changes and challenges.
Helping others become their best self and thrive in their relationships is my passion. Using evidenced-based treatments and open communication, I bring a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy. I adjust my interventions to each individual and situation with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral techniques and strengths-based methods.
Through experience in private and community agencies, I've developed wide knowledge of anxiety/mood disorders, trauma, sexual orientation and abuse, family dynamics, crisis-intervention, and addiction. I've worked closely with those involved with foster care. I have a special interest in working with and advocating for the LGBTQ community.
